Pizza Friday ~ Swing and a’ miss.

 To hot for Pizza Friday as out side temperature rises to 95F? perhaps. at least I will blame the comedy of errors on the weather.

Slice works pizza ordered for delivery. the kind phone receptions states it is an 1hour and 45minute wait ( not fast take away at that point. The location is 3 blocks away)… pick up 35 minutes. well that is easy – it is pizza Friday and I will collect.

The experience.

The ball park location only has a few orders in the queue. Fortunately – I verify the order has been received. The order had been misplaced. “Order in and fire!”

 Time to read the book I brought and review the architectural aesthetics. The restaurant flow feels disorientating. The flow is through the seating area to where you are not greeted. One walks back to the kitchen and you feel that you are entering the order station or the prep area. The space wraps around the center brick wall back to the seating area. Hmm.  

Sit, listen ready to read. The ambient noise is very low, not an urgent mad kitchen sound that warrants a 1 hour 45 minute wait. Niceties are exchanged when the pie is ready.

The confused pie. 

The Pie is ordered as half Hawaiian, half sausage mushroom. the order actually came through confused. Order, ready, fire, aim. Must be the heat.

The redeeming recovery factor is the pizzeria manager walked a non confused pie over as a replacement. It did take an hour + 45minutes. the Pizzeria may get a second time at bat.
