Book review ~ Fictitious Dishes by Dinah Fried

On the road by Jack Kerouac
I really like the book Fictitious dishes. it is really a clever thought is to document memorable meals in literature. On the Road states “But i had to get going and stop moaning, so I picked up my bag , said so-long to the old hotel keeper and went to eat. I ate apple pie and ice cream – it was getting better as i got deeper into IOWA, the pie bigger, the ice cream richer.”
Sal Paradse and Dean Moriarty reckless adventurers are chronicled in On the Road. One of the places Jack Kerouac (the author) spend time was Denver Colorado. My thought is the Lodo hotel could be the Barth or the Oxford.
The Kerouac walk also goes around 21st and Larimer – to Coors Field, or to five points for jazz.. That being said, and to return to the beat novel culinary thread … the pie is bigger and ice cream ricer – the name changed of the city in my opionion is changed as part of creative writing. If jack would stroll the streets today – he would still find the ice cream richer and pie bigger in Denver.
