Travel Eats – the Broadmoor’s French Onion Soup

French Onion Soup – is a staple of where i try the menu. According to my parents it is a classic. If one can do a good soup, the saucier and soup maker knows what they are doing. The tastes that i look for are rich flavors of beef, caramelized onions cooked to perfection, lending a sweet and savory depth to the broth. As if that is not enough a generous amount of melted cheese floating upon a toasted crouton adds a gooey blanket adding a delightful sharpness to each spoonful. A combination of savory broth, tender onions, the French Onion Soup and cheesy topping is my test … how good is the kitchen? The Broadmoor Golden Bee meets expectations and i will work my way around the menu (or perhaps stay with French Onion Soup as it was really good).
