Mug bugs – OH MY!

Mug bugs – OH MY!

the boil completed

The cooking travel went to Stapleton. There were so many crayfish! they were cooked in 3 batches. The boil seemed to get spicier as the boil went on. Boiled potatoes, sausage, corn on the cob and crayfish. The crayfish were spilled onto the feeding table – the neighbors started hovering (hence the shadows). i just had to share the experience. a lot of work to cook and lots of work to eat. It is great to kick off Stapleton Summer with friends.

Holiday treat “Hot Cross bunns”

Holiday treat “Hot Cross bunns”

Hot cross buns are a real treat. they are seasonal holiday biscuits with fruit and frosting that tastes similar to the sugar frosting from gingerbread houses. These came from the German bakery “Rheinlander Bakery” in old town Arvada Colorado.. The service is outstanding and should be tried – not just for a holiday treat.
